A Fight for Advancing Women's and Gender Studies with Dr. Kim Jones-Owen

Dr. Kim Jones-Owen's involvement with the Women's and Gender Studies Program (WGS) at Ball State University began in the late 1980s when she served as chair of the program's Events Committee. An opportunity to teach English 490 Women and Literature led to a change in the direction of her career.

A Lifelong Passion - Serving the Community On and Off the Court

Steve Shondell grew up with volleyball and the Ball State Athletics family from the moment he was born. Throughout his life, he has dedicated his time and talents into cultivating amazing volleyball programs and crafting a family at Ball State and in the Muncie community.

An Asymmetric Journey with Albert Miller

Al Miller received his bachelor's degree from Ball State in general business in the Spring of 1985. After graduation and a few years in the mortgage banking, he returned to Ball State in order to take pre-dental requisites for a future in dentistry.

Crediting Ball State as a large part of his career success, Brian and Ramona Gallagher have been long-time supporters of Ball State through both their time, service, and financial giving. Paul Xiong came to the United States as a young man with big dreams. His goal was to become successful in the world of technology and Ball State was the first step in his many successes. Now retired, Paul achieved his goal and more through a fruitful career in the engineering and technology licensing fields.
